This year's championships took place at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth.

New Championship Best Performances were set in 15 events, including four that were originally set over 20 years ago. Here they are as they now stand, showing the previous records that were broken.

A Women's 2000m Steeplechase was held as a trial County (i.e. non-championship) and Open event for Senior, Under 20 and Under 17 Women on Bank Holiday Monday, 5 May, i.e. the same day as the Multi-Events Championships. Details can be seen here.
